Welcome. This blog discusses English education in Norwegian primary schools. We are a group of students studying at the University of Tromsø, who are currently attending the third and fourth year of our masters in teaching. Enjoy!
Great idea to give pupils a few options for the type of poems they can work with. Did they have any preference for or difficulties with a certain type of a poem? The first trial always demands more time for planning and thinking through the teaching scheme, but hopefully you would learn how to carry out the scheme more efficiently as you gain more experience with it. Did you include any grammar point in any of the lessons? The whole point of the article is to integrate grammar teaching as part of the English lesson in a more meaningful context, but if you have missed out the grammar aspect, the whole point of the teaching scheme loses its purpose. If you have indeed included the grammar point, can you briefly discuss which grammar point was covered during the lesson. If you have forgotten to do it, can you think of any grammar point which can be introduced/taught in your teaching scheme? (Please write your response in a comment area..)
